Battery Should-Cost Model

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Overview

This policy covers batteryshouldcost.com and the Battery Should-Cost Model tool ("the site", "we", "us"). We built this as a free benchmarking tool for procurement and finance professionals — we collect the minimum needed to grant access and keep you informed, and nothing more.

What we collect

When you request access to the model, join the Pro waitlist, or subscribe for updates, we collect:

  • Your email address (required)
  • Your name, company, and role (optional, only on the main access form)

We do not collect payment details on this site. The browser's local storage remembers, on your device only, that you've already unlocked access and whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Those values stay in your browser.

Why we collect it

  • To grant and remember your free access to the model
  • To email you when commodity price assumptions shift enough to materially move the should-cost range
  • To let you know when the Pro tier becomes available, if you've joined that waitlist
  • To understand who's using the tool (role/company), so we build the right features next
  • To send occasional updates about the Battery Should-Cost Model and related tools we build
  • With your consent, to measure which pages and forms are used and whether ads lead to a signup or checkout

How your information is processed

Form submissions are handled by Formspree, a third-party form-processing service that receives and forwards submissions to us by email. We don't run our own database of your personal data beyond what arrives through that service. We do not sell your personal information. If you accept cookies, Google processes measurement data (pages viewed and which forms succeeded) for Google Analytics and Google Ads. That measurement data does not include your email address, name, or company.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are used only with your consent. They are loaded through Google Tag Manager. Until you choose — and if you reject — analytics and advertising cookies stay off, and the model works the same either way. Accepting allows those cookies so we can measure visits and whether an ad led to a signup or a checkout.

You can change your choice at any time. After you choose, a Cookie settings button stays at the bottom-left of every page. Accept turns analytics and advertising cookies on. Reject turns them off. You can also use the buttons below. The choice is stored in this browser until you change it or clear site data.

This browser: no choice saved yet, so analytics and advertising cookies stay off.

Data retention & your rights

We keep submission records for as long as reasonably useful for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them. If you're in the EU, UK, or anywhere with similar data-protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, and to opt out of future emails at any time — email us at info@batteryshouldcost.com and we'll action it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
